Anna Davies
Classical Homeopath
About Anna
Hello My name is Anna and I qualified as a classical homeopath in 2012. I live in Glastonbury in Somerset in the UK with my daughter and a fine tabby cat named Roger.
I like being creative and as a Cancerian this tends to be centred on home-making; I love coming up with a ‘new look’ for a room or styling small spaces like my VW campervan or garden cabin. In recent years I managed a Bed & Breakfast business in Glastonbury and was able to combine my love of creating nurturing spaces with another passion: meeting people from all around the world and getting to hear their stories.
I have always been interested in herbalism and holistic form of medicine and this really came into focus when I was a teenager and began to suffer with severe acne. I tried most of the common allopathic treatments but none of them really stopped the acne and I started to get unpleasant side-effects as well. I read a book when I was at school called ‘Homeopathy for Everyone’ by Sheila and Robin Gibson and it really inspired me and I knew I wanted to train as a homeopath after I read it.
The idea that the mind and body are intricately connected really made sense to me and I explored various other therapies such as yoga, reiki, meditation, shiatsu, acupuncture, herbalism and massage while I was studying for an MA in Celtic studies at the University of Edinburgh. During this time I was still suffering with acne (albeit a little less severe) and this continued until I was in my thirties when I rediscovered homeopathy.
I strongly feel that mind and body are intimately connected and from the age of 22 years I was fully committed to learning about holistic healing method. My first qualification in holistic health was Aromatherapy Massage which I completed in 2001 closely followed by crystal and colour healing and flower and gem essences.
I am really fascinated by the power of the subconscious mind and its role in health and healing and so my next qualification was in hypnotherapy. Finally my quest to find a gentle, natural healing modality for mind, body and soul led me back to homeopathy and I completed my training in 2012.
I have worked as a therapist at Neal’s Yard in Bristol, various festivals including the famous Glastonbury Festival, a homeopathy clinic in Northern India and even a yoga retreat in Turkey.
Homeopathy has helped me to come through the adversity I have faced in life stronger and wiser and continues to amaze and excite me with the scope of its application in every kind of struggle we face.
I love that homeopathy empowered me to take back control of my health and my family’s health and I hope I can share this knowledge with you and inspire and encourage other to do the same.
Testimonials
Just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. We’ve had two sleeps where A_ didn’t wake properly for milk until 5.30!!! Feel her cough has turned a corner too. I’m starting to feel human again, thank you.
I just want to say thank you again, because upon writing in my journal this morning I just realised that I did come into this new year a completely new and improved and stronger person and version of myself and my gut is saying that it had a lot to do with your homeopathic remedy that you gave me. It forced me to purge something, I don’t know what. It’s been really significant and I just thank you so much…It amazes me how you intuitively picked something and it’s changed my life.
