Homeopathy for Endometriosis and Fibroids – A Healing Journey

When Trisha first came to see me, she had been struggling with increasingly heavy and excruciatingly painful periods. For years, she assumed it was just part of life — until one month she ended up in the emergency room needing a blood transfusion. Her iron levels were dangerously low, and she was utterly exhausted.

Although the hospital sent her home with iron supplements, no one addressed the underlying cause of her severe bleeding. This became a distressing cycle: each month she would lose a significant amount of blood, and soon after, she’d return to the hospital for yet another transfusion.

Eventually, her GP ordered further investigations to uncover the root of the problem. Scans revealed multiple fibroids. She was advised to undergo Uterine Artery Embolization — a procedure designed to cut off blood supply to the fibroids and parts of the uterus. Trisha went ahead with the treatment, hoping for relief, but sadly, it didn’t work.

The pain persisted. In fact, her periods became even more intense. A follow-up scan showed numerous fibroids, making embolization no longer a viable option. This time, her doctor suspected endometriosis and recommended a hysterectomy.

Despite the severity of her monthly bleeding and pain, Trisha was hesitant to have such a major surgery. Instead, she began searching for alternatives. A friend — one of my patients — suggested she book a consultation with me.

A Personalised Homeopathic Approach

During our first appointment, I gathered a detailed understanding of her symptoms, medical history, and life experiences. This helped me identify a constitutional remedy suited to her unique presentation of endometriosis.

Within just a couple of months of starting treatment, Trisha noticed a significant reduction in both pain and bleeding. She is still continuing with her personalised homeopathic care, and her most recent scan revealed only two very small fibroids.

I’m optimistic that her next scan will show even further improvement — and perhaps no fibroids at all.

What are fibroids and how do they affect periods?
Fibroids are non-cancerous growths in the uterus that can cause heavy bleeding, painful periods, and sometimes fertility issues. They vary in size and number, and symptoms often depend on their location.
Can fibroids and endometriosis be treated without surgery?
Yes. While surgery is often recommended, many women explore alternatives such as homeopathy, dietary changes, and natural therapies to manage pain and reduce bleeding.
How does homeopathy help with fibroids and endometriosis?
Homeopathy looks at the whole person — physical, emotional, and mental symptoms — and matches them to an individualised remedy. This approach can reduce pain, lessen bleeding, and support long-term balance.
How long does it take to see results with homeopathy?
This varies depending on the individual. In Trisha’s case, she noticed improvement within a couple of months. Ongoing treatment often brings deeper, more lasting changes.
Is homeopathy safe to use alongside conventional treatments?
Yes. Homeopathy is gentle, non-toxic, and can safely be used alongside conventional medicine. A qualified homeopath will tailor remedies to complement existing treatments.
